Amidst the pain you will feel when you discover that your wife has been cheating on you; you will have to make a decision one way or the other. However, this does not mean that you should make the important decisions just at the time of your discovery. You will need some time to think the issue through so that you can make the best decision. "Should I keep my cheating wife?" you may be asking.

If you want an answer to this question, you should let a little time pass so that you can cool down your emotions. For a more effective healing, it may even be necessary to spend some time on your own and reach a decision that has not been clouded by emotions.

You will be highly tempted to leave your cheating wife for good, and it is indeed the easy way. Yet, interestingly, many people do not make such a choice when they are in a similar situation. Many people try to look for ways of restoring their strained relationships instead.

You know your situation better; hence you are the one who can make the best choice. To reach your decision, however, there are some things you should consider to ensure that you weigh everything well.

Do you need to save your relationship?

If you have a cheating wife, making the decision to stay in the relationship may be very challenging. When you decide to stay, you must be prepared for some tough times ahead, and you will need to go out of your way in some instances for the sake of your marriage.

The fact that you decide to stay will not mean that your wife will get an easy way out. It will be very difficult for her to face you every day and come to terms with the situation. There are many things that will keep reminding her of her cheating, including the way you carry yourself. However, you can find ways to work things between you and restore a healthy relationship.

You should ask yourself deeply whether you are prepared to stay. You will live with the bitter knowledge that your wife has cheated on you, and you will keep having some elements of doubt in your mind. Complete healing will require time, but when you hang on, you will reap great rewards as you build a stronger relationship than before.

Should she leave?

You are in the best position to answer this question. As painful as it is, you will have to live with the memory of her betrayal. If you cannot look past the pain you feel, then it may not be healthy for either of you if she stays.

However, if you can bring yourself to forgive your cheating wife, then there is really no reason why you should throw away your marriage.
